Once the app is installed on your device, or if you are using a browser on a PC, then you can begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Sign up for an account<\/strong>
    When you first start the app, or visit the site, you will be presented with the ‘Player’ screen. If you are going to Organize a game, you need to choose ‘Login’ from the menu in the top right corner and Click ‘Register’ at the bottom of the screen.
    Add an email and password. You will receive a verification email that you must use to verify the address. Game results will also be sent to the address when games are completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Log in<\/strong>
    Hit the Login button at the bottom of the screen. Type in your newly created username and password. Click the ‘Stay signed in’ check box. It is useful on a personal device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click ‘Play’ <\/strong>and you will be taken to the next screen to create a game.

  4. Create a game<\/strong>
    Hit the ‘New’ button at the bottom of the screen

    Choose the game type, Pairs or individual. Enter the number of players. If you have an incomplete table, still round it up to a multiple of 4 to start. Then try the exact number. Some of the movements are defined differently. We are slowly creating a set of ‘preferred’ movements. These have a little text to describe why we recommend them. Generally they are good options if you are new to this.
    For a 10 person Howell. Choose 12 players and on the correct table, which generally has the stationary pair, leave the names blank.
    A list of movements will pop up.

    Choose the movement you want. And enter the number of boards per round.

    Then hit ‘Create’.

    Then hit ‘Back’.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Give the game ID to players<\/strong> (if using their own devices) (who do not have to sign up)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Join a game<\/strong>
    Choose the game you just created (or the appropriate game) from the list. Or you can type it in to the ‘Manual Entry’ box (case insensitive).

  7. Add any ‘table mode’ devices<\/strong>
    If this is a table mode device, enter the table number and then click and HOLD the ‘Tbl’ label for a few seconds. The table number now cannot be changed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Add players to tables<\/strong>
    On the ‘Table’ screen, enter the ID (ACBL ID or whichever club ID) and if it is in the system, the player name will auto-fill. This is optional. The ID is not needed and if left blank an auto generated ID will appear when submitted.
    ‘Submit’ the names, even if the table is not complete yet. New players can be added at any time.

  9. Start game<\/strong>
    When all the players have taken their seats you can start the game. If there is a missing player or pair, the missing seat(s) must be filled with a blank name (just a space character) and submitted. Then you can, on the ‘Game’ screen, hit the ‘Start’ button. You will be placed on the ‘Play’ screen. This screen tells you everything about the current round. The players, boards, relays and where everything\/everyone goes next. At the top of the screen you are shown the game you are connected to and the lightning strike indicating you have a live connection and are receiving updates from the server as they happen.

  10. Play and add results<\/strong> for each board as played
    by hitting the ‘+’ button. Clicked buttons turn orange.

    And add the Lead by clicking the blue ‘Lead’ button.

    Clicking ‘OK’ will send you to the ‘Approval’ screen. The other team can approve the result.

    Depending on the configuration options, the ‘+’ button will either disappear or become a ‘pencil’ button that can edit the entered score.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. View final results<\/strong>
    As the game continues, the results screen will\/may show some\/all of the results depending on the configuration. The default configuration allows the results screen to show the board positions but not the actual contract or scores. When the game is finished all the scores can be shown.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The device has several configuration settings:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • If the logged in user is not a player, they can see the results as the game continues including the board results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • If the device is set to table 0 and locked, it can see all the results as they come in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • To unlock the table number, click and hold the ‘Tbl’ label on the ‘Seats’ screen. The default unlock code is 1234.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • To unlock the hidden screens, click and hold the ‘YBG’ or ‘YourBridgeGame’ icon in the top left corner and enter the unlock code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
